  • Suitable for every training type! (Heavy bag, double end bag, pad work…)
  • Very good thermal regulating features
  • Incredible quality price ratio
  • Best Adidas Boxing Gloves by far!

Firstly, this glove is the most quality Adidas Boxing Gloves and gets really good feedback on forums. It is suitable for every training type (double end bag, punching bag, sparring…). The padding quality is definitely above average and it can take a beating at least 3 years. The leather is synthetic and Adidas Boxing Training Gloves outlasts the padding. Actually, this padding type is used for many quality gloves on the market and considering the price, it is actually a huge plus. Also, the padding is mostly concentrated on the front side and this design helps you get better training performance!

The wrist compartment is just solid. As you can see in the picture, it is a bit smaller than normal and it is actually tighter than other pairs. This compartment secures your wrist quite well and the upper side of this pair is also a bit more padded. So when you block your sparring partner with the upper part of the glove, you will definitely feel the impact less.

Shortly, it has every safety qualities and provides decent training performance and you can do all training types (punch mitts, heavy bag…) and you can click here to know more details about Adidas Boxing Training Gloves.

According to sizing information below, you can choose any training type pairs on this list.

Adidas  Hybrid Boxing Gloves

Protection Rating: 8.6 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 8.8 / 10.0

Durability: 9.4 / 10.0

Quality / Price Rating: 9.7 / 10.0

Company: Adidas

Exclusive Features

  • Good padding quality
  • Lasts at least 3 years
  • Suitable for every training type
  • Ideal for sparring
  • Very good thermal regulating features
  • Popular in boxing gyms
  • Looks cool
  • Great quality-price ratio!

Adidas Hybrid uses IMF padding and this pair has lots of padding. With that, IMF type padding is generally used for sparring. It moves a lot and comparing to other padding types, it is a bit softer. So this is why it is preferred for sparring more. With that, you can do every training type with Adidas Response. I also sparred with it two times in Thailand (buddy’s pair), and after these sessions, I was not so sore and did not feel any discomfort whatsoever. Even though the air regulating qualities (meshes) are not top notch, I can give B- for the comfort.

The leather has a bit more quality than others and it is actually really good for sparring. Because it won’t have rough spots for a longer period and won’t hurt your sparring partner. If you care about the durability more, then this all-around pair is a solid option. Based on my research, you can train with this pair at least three years.

I also constantly see this pair in local boxing gyms and according to online reviews (verified purchase and forums), you can also expect decent quality training (punch mitts, double end bag, heavy bag) sessions. Adidas Hybrid generally gets above average feedback for training performance.

Adidas Shadow Boxing Gloves

I normally use training boxing gloves for shadow boxing but the weight distribution is not ideal for it. This pair is made exclusively for shadow boxing and actually, there is not any other good quality pair in this category. And the leather quality does not have any importance because gloves won’t be facing any impact.

So if you are looking for improving punching technique and speed against resistance, these gloves can be ideal for you.

Adidas Power 100 Bag Gloves

adidas Power 100 Bag Gloves ReviewProtection Rating: 9.1 / 10.0

Training Quality (Punching bag) Rating: 9.2/ 10.0

Durability: 8.7 / 10.0

Quality / Price Rating: 9.1 / 10.0

Company: Adidas

Exclusive Features

  • Good padding quality
  • Suitable only for bag work
  • Very solid wrist closure
  • Sturdy
  • Better heavy bag training quality!

Firstly, Adidas Power 100 Bag Glove is suitable only for bag sessions (double end bag and heavy bag). The padding delivers the shock better and also absorbs it quite well. This quality makes this pair ideal for bag work.

The wrap around is reviewed as extra solid and I checked this quality from many places. I actually could not find any single complaint about it. So it is really a positive sign. It also has a great lining feature which helps your hands to stay fresh. Also, padding memory is better than other gloves on this list. After you punch, it returns the original state very fast. This is simply vital for heavy bag training and Adidas Power 100 Bag Gloves deliver it.

Thanks to the padding distribution, you can punch faster than normal with this pair. So it is fair to say that you will get very good performance during punching bag sessions and if you are interested in doing only bag work (punching bag, double end bag), Adidas Power 100 Bag Glove is a solid option. In my opinion, the design looks really cool. If you are interested, click here to see more.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for an all-around quality pair, which is sturdy, then you should definitely go with Adidas Boxing Training Gloves. It has very good quality air regulating features so your hands will be comfortable during your sessions. You can do all training types with it and if you consider all of these, it is a really good deal for the price. If you are interested then definitely check out Adidas Boxing Training Gloves on Amazon. It also gets very good feedback on forums which I completely trust.

Wyh should you give Adidas Boxing Gloves a shot? Guys, as you can see some of the pairs have actually really good qualities (especially padding) and have good prices. Also, these have smaller wrist departments and different padding distribution… Many people on boxing forums (Sherdog and a few others) seem to train with Adidas Gloves religiously and if you have not done any training sessions with Adidas, you can definitely give it a shot. Because as I explained earlier, these have very different designs and maybe these can suit you more. Also, keep in mind that these gloves have seriously cheap price tags!

As a side note, the boxing gloves above are chosen according to boxing forums, my and my trainers’ experiences. Shortly you will be satisfied with any of them ;).

  1. Thank you for your honest review of these gloves. I like that you included your personal recommendations for gloves that you prefer. Being a big company like adidas is, people tend to associate them with quality, but in cases like this it’s good to have a source to show that there are better products on the market.

    1. Unfortunately we all do same thing time to time for other things. We trust a brand we always trust its products. There are certainly a lot better gloves on the market and these have better price quality ratio.

  2. It’s interesting that certain boxing gloves are made for shadow boxing and others are made for real fighting. Lots of variety and good info about boxing here!

    1. Actually there are a few shadow boxing gloves. I only know two and Adidas Shadow Boxing glove’s weight distribution gets better ratings than other shadow boxing pairs. And I think I can get it in future to have training with more resistance.

  3. Brilliant review of Adidas boxing gloves! One quick question though, are the training gloves tough enough to protect your hands on the heavy bag?

  4. Earlier this year I came across you site while looking for a good pair of bag gloves. You have a great site and I found your info to be very helpful.

I can only train in limited ways due to an injury, but it is important to me to still participate and be around the gym.

Anyway I just wanted to let you know that I bought a pair of the Adidas Power 100 Bag Gloves based on your recommendation and I love them!

I just wanted to say thanks and to let your readers know that if they are looking for a great pair of bag gloves, they should give these a try!

    1. Hey Brendon. Yes, I remembered you from your other comment I think it was “improving stamina for boxers”. I am really glad that you are going good and liked that Adidas Bag Gloves. The newer Adidas models have quite good quality. The padding does a good job for bag work. It is not too tough or soft so many people also prefer this. Thank you so much for your comment man.

  5. I don’t box, but my teenage nephew is starting to take lessons at a local boxing gym. I want to get him some gloves and gear. Which gloves might you recommend or other gear for him starting out?

There seems like a lot of stuff to choose from. And not knowing anything, I’d appreciate your opinion.

    1. Training in a local boxing gym is the way to go for everyone and your nephew will learn a lot there. As a beginner, Adidas Training Gloves is a really good choice. Since it has more padding which can protect his hands and suitable for many boxing training types.

You can check out these “what beginner need for boxing training” writing. You can find every gear and equipment for different boxing training types and if something is not clear you can always leave another comment.
