Hayabusa Tokushu Boxing Gloves

Protection Rating: 9.5 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 9.8 / 10.0

Durability: 9.8 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 9.5 / 10.0

  • Amazing padding quality
  • Heavy bag will swing more with Hayabusa
  • Very comfortable
  • One of the best gloves on the market
  • Very sturdy
  • Last at least 3 years

Hayabusa Tokushu provides amazing quality and it is definitely of the best pairs on the market. It also made many best lists including my best boxing gloves list. Its padding is top notch and even though Hayabusa is suitable for all training types, many people prefer Hayabusa Tokushu for heavy bag sessions. Its wrist support is quite well and the padding will surely protect your knuckles and distribute shock evenly. The padding forgets its memory quickly. In that way you will punch more efficiently and the bag will just swing more. There are only a couple of pairs which can immediately increase your training performance and Hayabusa is one of the best about it.

I can easily say that it is truly one of the best training type gloves for punching bag. Its price is higher than other gloves on this list however it gives almost the same quality of Cleto Reyes with a way cheaper price (around $50). If you are interested, you can check the latest price on amazon.

Twins Special Boxing Gloves

Best cheap leather boxing glovesProtection Rating: 9.0 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 8.8 / 10.0

Durability: 8.9 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 10.0 / 10.0

  • Good padding quality
  • Comfy
  • Very good thermal regulation
  • Very popular
  • Best cheap leather gloves
  • Many color selections

Twins Special always gets amazing reviews and it is one of the most popular gloves on the market. So why this pair is so special? The reason is that after people buy the pair, sooner or later they realize that they get way more than what they pay. In my opinion and based on feedback from real buyers, it has the greatest quality price ratio for boxing gloves.

It is made of genuine leather and has great thermal regulation. Its padding quantity is a lot and the pair has a bit more padding at the upper side. This helps distributing shock more and also helps protecting your hand while you block your sparring partner’s glove with upper side of your glove. Thanks to its genuine leather it won’t have rough spots and it won’t hurt your sparring partner. Keep in mind that it is also great for other training types including heavy bag, double end bag and focus mitt training.

All I can say it that Twins Special is the best cheap leather gloves on the market. You can get your own on amazon or you can check way more detailed Twins Special Boxing Gloves review for more info.

TITLE Boxing Pro Style Leather Training Gloves

Protection Rating: 8.3 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 8.5 / 10.0

Durability: 8.0 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 9.8 / 10.0

  • Good padding quality
  • Last 1-2 years
  • Suitable for all training types
  • Cheapest pair with decent quality

  • “Average” thermal regulation features

Title’s pairs always have good padding quality and this one is no exception and it is the cheapest pair on this list.

It provides way better training quality and more durability than the gloves which are in the same price range. I can even say that others don’t even have basic safety features. However this one has all of them including good wrist support. With that Title also uses same padding type for all its pairs and it is a huge plus. You can get quite decent training performance from it.

However you should know that this pair’s thermal regulating features are not premium and if you want to do very long training sessions I would suggest you to go with other gloves on this list. If you fall in this category the pair below will be more suitable for you. Other that that it is still a quality pair and based on my researches TITLE Boxing Pro Style Leather is the cheapest pair which also has decent quality. As all pairs on this list you can choose this training pair according to sizing chart at the beginning of the page.

RDX Elite Boxing Gloves

Protection Rating: 8.9 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 9.1 / 10.0

Durability: 9.5 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 9.6 / 10.0

  • Good padding quality
  • Sturdy cowhide leather
  • Really good value for the money
  • Suitable for all training types
  • Great price for genuine cowhide leather gloves

All RDX pairs provide at least average training quality and have ALL safety features. This is the reason why it is the most preferred British brand for boxing gloves. Before I saw this brand in gym for the first time, I had no idea about the brand however after a quick research I understood that many people train with it. With that RDX Elite is made of cowhide leather and you can use this pair in all training types. Surely cowhide leather can handle intense frictions for very long time. And this makes RDX Elite is ideal for punch mitts.

What about the training performance? Its front side is a bit more padded than upper side and this helps you to punch a little bit faster than normal.

Price: Go on and check the price on amazon. You can also check out RDX Boxing Gloves Review for more info.

Which Best Cheap Boxing Gloves I would choose?

If I can pay a little more I would definitely go with Hayabusa Tokushu, its quality can even match with many best gloves and it has cheaper price. It has also incredible padding which forgets its memory very fast. Keep in mind that this quality can make a real difference during punching bag training. However if I am on a budget then my choice would be RDX Elite. It has sturdy cover material and I can use it without worrying for rough spots. After a long time usage, it seriously becomes a very legit problem however I know that I won’t have it RDX Elite. And I just love the durability of sturdy cowhide leather 😉 I hope you enjoyed reading and if you have any questions or further assistance for choosing your gloves please leave a comment below.

  1. Hi there,
Nice post. I like the look of the Twins boxing gloves, I like the fact that their made of genuine leather and have good padding quality. Also the Twins boxing gloves were around $70 which isn’t a bad price either. I noticed you chose the Hayabusa Takushu gloves as your favorite which look pretty good too. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Twins Special looks really good and it is just not looks, it also delivers the quality with a good price. Yes, my favorite is Hayabusa and I will have a post which will be just about my experience with them. The quality, leather and the training performance of Hayabusa is just amazing.

  2. great read on these gloves, I have been looking for a good set of affordable gloves and this def helped me out. Whats the best affordable brand out there right now?

    1. Man, that is a tough question. Well, right now I would say RDX and Venum. These both brands have above average quality gloves which have really affordable prices.

  3. I am a big Title fan, they are pretty awesome gloves. Have you ever looked into Everlast? I think those gloves are some of the best you can get. I used to be big into boxing and this makes me want to get back into it. Thank you for the post.

    1. Man Everlast is cheap but these don’t have any quality and generally material of it just sucks. So I don’t recommend Everlast, however, I am also a big Title fan like you 😉 Title on this list is just amazing and you can just go with it.

  4. Hey Furkan,

As a former martial artist, I can attest to the fact that the higher quality items are almost always the best purchase. Especially when it comes to uniforms.

With that being said, I am a huge fan of the Hayabusa gloves. I know you said they’re more expensive, but they would definitely be the ones I would go with because I know the value of true quality over saving a few dollars here and there.

Thanks for sharing this valuable content. Take it easy!

    1. Hayabusa is a bit expensive but gives you way more than your money’s worth but many martial artists like you prefer it. You are welcome man and I am glad to see you here again.

  5. To my surprise, I’ve found boxing to be one of the best core workouts you can get! You definitely need a good pair of gloves to protect your hands.
These look like some great options. I agree with you that the Hayabusa Tokushu gloves look like a great option. They are more expensive but not by a whole lot!

    1. Yeah, boxing is great for toning core and I know that many females benefit from it and saw the results within weeks!
And Hayabusa Tokushu’s price actually is not bad at all. Because when I think about the leather and the Hayabusa’s padding, it really deserves to be on this list.

  6. I myself am a boxing fan, so you can imagine, how much I liked your website, I enjoyed reading your posts about the different types of gloves you can buy, I like the way you have laid out the site, so it is easy to navigate around, I’d like to wish you all the luck in the world.

  7. Hi,

This looks like a good selection. I like the look of the Twins special boxing gloves. Would these be suitable for a punching bag as well?

Also is there a way of cleaning boxing gloves? I find they get pretty smelly after a while. Or is this something we have to put up with?

    1. Twins Special looks aesthetics and due to the padding distribution it also looks different and it gives this pair a different “vibe”. You can clean them with glove deodorizer and these actually are made for humid environments so these will smell less lol. You can check out this cleaning of boxing gloves writing and check out all the methods in there. There are also ways to get rid of that smell man. Even though sometimes these don’t go for good, thanks to these methods, the smell will be somewhat tolerable.

  8. I am a boxing fan. Manny Pacquiao is one of my favorites. He uses Cleto Reyes I believe but I think this is more expensive. Glad to know that Hayabusa Tokushu Boxing Gloves provides almost the same quality as Cleto Reyes at a cheaper price. I would definitely remember this when I shop for new boxing gloves. Thanks!

    1. Yeah, he uses Cleto Reyes all the time. When I watch him in the ring he uses Cleto Reyes Competition. While punching the bag, again he uses Cleto Reyes Training Gloves.

Hayabusa Tokushu is different than it but when I compared to the overall quality of them, it is not much different. Also, I found that Hayabusa offers more protection as well.

  9. I’ve actually really wanted to take up boxing, so I will definitely look back at this article when looking to purchase some gloves. Thanks for the breakdown of each, all seem like great options in my opinion.

    1. These ones are great for people who want to get the best bang for the buck. And these list includes every training type and need.
