The legs are adjustable. The leg’s length is 30 inches and you can extend it by 12 or 15 inches. So you can make it suitable for anywhere including your home.  The construction is heavy duty steel and this minimizes the sound. So you won’t disturb your neighbors while pounding the bag.

Thanks to these features, it becomes best heavy bag stand for home.

Heavy-duty steel can last a really long time. After all, the company can offer a 15 years warranty for the stand. Considering the users’ experiences and mine, it is a really convenient construction type and can last. 2. Century Cornerman

really sturdy and a good punching bag stand for kickingThe Durability: 9.8 / 10.0

The Quality: 9.6 / 10.0

Versatility: 8.9 / 10.0

Cost Efficiency: 8.3 / 10.0

Exclusive Features

  • Very sturdy
  • Durable
  • Suitable for corners
  • Adjustable height

This one is the sturdiest stand on the list. The steel is thicker than usual and it is 16 gauge. The stand has a suspension system which provides it to stay solid even after the most powerful blows.

The height can be adjustable and you can change the height between 72” and 102”. So you can adjust the height by 30”. It is quite a lot so you don’t need to worry about anything about the height. So this is also ideal.

The legs are 7.5” and these are 90 degrees apart from each other. As you can see it is ideal for corners.

The price can be high for some people. Check out the price and see whether it is suitable for your budget or not.

3. Title Boxing Double Trouble

The Durability: 8.9 / 10.0

The Quality: 9.1 / 10.0

Versatility: 9.0 / 10.0

Cost Efficiency: 9.0 / 10.0

Exclusive Features

  • Durable
  • Huge weight capacity
  • Floor anchors for extra stability
  • You can also hang a double end bag!

Title is also made of heavy duty steel and has a solid construction.

However, the cool thing is that this stand can accommodate double end bag and heavy bag! If you prefer you can hang two punching bags or vice versa. Since it also has cords, hooks… Basically, it has everything to set up a double end beg.

The heavy bags can be up to 125 lbs. The capacity is quite a lot as well and you can even hang two heavy bags to it. This shows that the stand can stay like a rock.

There are also floor anchors and you can tie your heavy bag’s bottom part to a floor anchor with a cord if you want extra stability.

I know many people and gyms would love to have a double end bag and heavy bag which are on the same stand and Title Boxing Double Trouble offers that.

Considering the construction and versatility, the price of Title is not bad at all.

4. Titan Dual Station Boxing Stand

My heavy bag stand review which I have experiences withThe Durability: 9.1 / 10.0

The Quality: 9.0 /10.0

Cost Efficiency: 8.8 / 10.0

Exclusive Features

  • Sturdy
  • Good materials
  • You can hang a double end bag and heavy bag
  • I have amazing experiences with it!

Well, I had to include this one. I know that it is not a popular boxing stand but hear me out for a minute. I had trained with this one for a year in a local boxing gym and before I moved to Thailand it was still going strong. Basically, it did not have any vibration issues which I hate and the construction stayed the same as its first day. It is made of powder-coated steel and you can understand that it has superior quality by just looking at it.

The capacity is standard 100 lbs. which is enough for almost anyone.

The speed bag platform’s drum is decent and does not have shaking issues like many other speed bag platforms which are made of steel.

It also has rings and cords for a double end bag. So you can install a double end bag and train with it. Considering the number of training which you can do with this stand, it is incredibly versatile.

So according to my experiences, I highly suggest you check out Titan Dual Station.

5. Everlast Dual Station Heavy Bag Stand

The Durability: 8.6 / 10.0

The Quality: 8.5 / 10. 0

Cost Efficiency: 9.9 / 10.0

Exclusive Features

  • Durable
  • Standard materials
  • Good weight capacity
  • Includes speed bag platform!
  • Very good value!

Normally value bundles just suck however Everlast Dual Station is one of the rare ones which deliver quality. It has a classic stand and speed bag platform.

The stand has a heavy-duty construction including speed bag platform. I am not a fan of steel drums but they do the job just fine. You can put all kinds and sizes of speed bags because the swivel has a standard design which allows it. With that being said, the swivel will have deformations and you may need a new swivel after a year. But other than this, this value bundle does not have a con and considering all of these the cost efficiency really high.

6. Everlast Heavy Bag Stand

heavy bag stand which has a great valueThe Durability: 8.7 / 10.0

The Quality: 8.8 / 10.0

Cost Efficiency: 10.0 / 10.0

Exclusive Features

  • A classic stand
  • Quality materials
  • Really good price
  • One of the most popular stands on the market

Some people don’t need adjustable legs and fancy features. They just need a good stand, which has a really affordable price tag, for their vigorous workout routines.

Everlast Heavy Bag Stand is a really good choice for these people.

It is made of heavy-duty steel and it has a powder coated finish. It basically does everything that you expect from a classic stand.

As many other Everlast products, this one also 4 months warranty. It is not much but it is better than nothing. If you are interested, check out the video where the guy throws some solid punches in the review and you can buy it on here.

7. Buying Guide

The Materials: Heavy duty coated powder steel is the sturdiest material out there and it is the most common choice among higher end brands. This material type will not hold rust for a really long time. Many companies claim that it will not hold rust for 50 years. Also, the steel construction types do just fine.

A stand also should have a construction which reduces the vibration and noise. It does not only improve the durability this also provides “smooth” workouts.

Design: You need to make sure that a heavy bag stand allows doing striking techniques and provides enough space to move around. Many bags allow at least 100-degree access to a bag and it is more than enough for you to do all the punching, kicking, knee striking techniques out there.

If you have limited space or need to change the location of your stand from time to time, you should prefer one which has adjustable legs. In this way, you can change the legs’ positions for your preference. This is ideal for homes especially if you have a little space to train.

You can do powerful strikes and the bag may swing like crazy. A good design helps your stand to stay in place as well.

Also, be careful about the leg positioning. These should be apart at least a couple of feet from each other. This is one of the things which tend to work just fine.

The Weight Capacity: As you get stronger you can do more powerful strikes so you will need a heavier punching bag in the future. So the weight capacity is also something to consider. The rule of thumb is that a heavy bag should be around half of your weight when you first begin to practice with it. So choose a stand which can support at least this weight.

Brands: Definitely go with the well-known brands. Some examples are Century, Outslayer. Because sometimes you may want them to install your stand or you may need to call service centers because of some reasons etc. The well-known ones have a lot of centers all over the world. Secondly, I know that many people are not aware of this issue but sometimes the shipment comes with missing equipment such as screws. Even though this rarely happens in this situation dealing with a customer service, which is more professional, is always a better option. Thus, try buying the stands from reputable companies.

The Cost: The cost depends on the construction and brand. Also, if a stand has a long-term warranty, you can expect to pay more and in my opinion, it is worth the price difference.

8. Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t have enough space in my home. How should I go about it?

Buy one which has adjustable legs and leg’s position. In this way, you can adjust your stand according to your room.

How do I Clean my Heavy Bag Stand?

Generally, heavy bag stands are made of steel. Even though there are different types of steel the cleaning method is the same. Also, steel tends to show water or moisture spots and these really do not look well.

You can make a solution for the cleaning. In order to make a solution, mix vinegar and water. Put this solution in a spray bottle. Spray this solution to a towel a couple of times. Finally, rub this towel to your punching bag stand and clean it until it is spotless. This method makes wonders in boxing gyms all around the world.

How to Assemble a Heavy Bag Stand?

I get a lot of comments which ask how to assemble a heavy bag stand. I can’t give any specific answer to this question as there are a lot of stand types, different screw types, brands… However, when you get the shipment you will get a manual as well. The manuals tend to be quite straightforward however if you can’t figure out what to do, just do a quick YouTube research as many martial arts gyms provided excellent tutorials for various stands. In addition to that, you can install many heavy bag stands within 20 minutes.

Should I put weight on the plates?

If your stand shakes whenever you strike you definitely need to put some weight on the plates. After all, you don’t want it to fall, right? When it shakes, it is also quite weird to workout with it as well. If this issue continues, after a certain point, the vibration issues start as well. So it is better to avoid these issues altogether, right? The most common extra weight type for it is sandbag and you can buy it basically from anywhere.

 Should I buy chains?

It is generally not necessary. Many heavy bags are tall enough to practice any striking techniques and in addition to that many stands are also adjustable. But if a stand is really tall this can make the stand impossible to do kicking workouts. Then buying a chain is a good solution to this problem.

Should I worry about the Height of the Punching Bag Stand?

Normally you should not. Because considering that heavy bags have enough length you can practice pretty much any striking technique without any problem whatsoever. However, if you are a really tall or short person and you are not sure whether training with a bag creates a problem or not you may want to contact the supplier. And if there is a problem they can adjust the stand’s height for you.

9. Recommendations

Guys, I have trained with a myriad of heavy bag stands and generally, value bundles suck. These seem like that these bundles have high-cost efficiencies but in reality, the companies tend to gather low-quality products in these bundles. This generally does not happen in this industry however it is definitely the case with the punching bag stands. So before you invest in a bundle, make sure to check out the website reviews.

You should be careful with the height as well. You don’t want that your heavy bag stand is taller than your ceiling.

How can you Save Some Money?

Sometimes commercial martial arts gyms buy new boxing equipment even though the old equipment just does the job just fine. So check out commercial gyms nearby and you may get lucky.

What are other options to hang a heavy bag?

If you have a beam there are rafter mounts to hang a heavy bag. Also, there are wall mounts to hang a heavy bag as well. These are better for really small spaces and if you don’t want to see a giant punching bag stand all the time, you can prefer these. But the rafter mounts and wall mounts are not versatile and the prices of them are similar to boxing stands. The stands are also way better about distributing, absorbing the shock. So these tend to last more. So hanging it on a stand is recommended by many experts.

Martial artists have been working out with hanging heavy bags for decades because it has tones of benefits for the skill improvement. There are also lots of people who build muscle and lose fat with heavy bags. There are plenty of reasons to work out with a hanging heavy bag and if you already bought your heavy bag stand, check out these good hanging type heavy bags.

These best heavy bag stands above can accommodate anyone and I included different types of stands. Some of them are suitable for your home, some are suitable for local gyms, and some stands are extremely suitable for kicks… Also, after reading the buyer’s guide and frequently asked questions, you will know what you should look in a punching bag stand as well.

  1. Grace | Work Anywhere Now

I’m so glad I saw your post on best heavy sand bags! I didn’t know these existed and really want one for my husband who doesn’t want to hang anything from the ceiling in our new house. These stand would be perfect then, thank you!

    Grace

    1. You are welcome. I can’t hang anything to ceiling too:( I live with my family now and they certainly don’t want that. You are welcome Grace

  2. Hi Furkan,

This is a really interesting post on the best heavy bag stands, it’s very timely as well as my existing stand has essentially reached its last legs.

Its’ been about ten years in fairness, how long would you expect the bags above to last? I do a mixture of boxing and kicking/ knee strikes.

    1. Hi Nate, their leg quality is so important for durability and grounding. I think Outslayer heavy bag stand is just for you because you can hang tall punching bags and you definitely cant hang heavy ones. It allows to do low kicks and probably it will do the job for you.

  3. Craig | UK TV Services Abroad

    Hi Furkan,

I think my friend is in the market for one of these. He has taken up Tae- Kwon-Do (sorry if spelling is wrong) and for training purposes he was going to buy one. Is there a particular one that would be best suited to this type of MMA?

    1. I think Outslayer would be great choice since your friend can hang tall punching bags to it and practice low kicks with it. Also it is great for punches 😉

  4. Hi, Furkan
I have tried to find a way to use my boxing gloves but haven’t succeeded yet. I don’t have any space for a punching bag inside but can use our annex. Then a stand would fit perfect like the ones you talk about in this review.
I didn’t know it existed so thanks for telling me about this opportunity.

    Tove

  5. Hey Furkan. Thanks for the informative post. I’ve been interested in buying one of these for years, and your info has helped me out tremendously. You are obviously very knowledgeble on this topic, and I appreciate you sharing it.

    Thanks again!

    Chris

  7. Dude I am in some desperate need of getting back in shape. I was looking for the best one and now I have more to choose from. I’m not looking to spend a whole lot and I’m not trying to be the next Jean Claude Van Dam, so what do you think will be the best fit for a dad like me that’s just trying to get back in shape?

    1. well I am sure a standard heavy bag will be good for you 😉 Everlast have decent punching bags and if you are looking for doing some kicks as well I suggest Outslayer since you can hang longer punching bags, train and get fit very fast 🙂

  8. Some quality stands there, and it’s good to see that the Outslayer is the one to buy. You are right they wouldn’t put a 10 year guarantee on it.

    1. It has lots of good reviews and it is the best one on this list, I think it is a great choice for people who consider doing boxing training for a long time

  9. Hi Furkan, the bag stands are really impressive. The ten year warranty on the Outslayer is the highest I have ever heard of. The company must really have a sturdy, strong product for a warranty to be that long. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

    1. Actually that makes two of us. I have never heard that too, It is expensive but Outslayer have at least 10 times longer Warranty among these bags. Actually, Century is ideal too even tough it has only one year I know that it lasts a long time

  10. Hi Furkan, thank you for this review. I’ve been looking to purchase a really good quality heavy bag stand for a while, and Outslayer sounds like a good fit, but the Everlast set still looks like good value for a low price.

I’ll probably need a little more time to think about it, but your comparison review has really helped!

    Thanks again

  11. Hi Furkan, thanks for this. I actually learned what it is called. When I trained before, I used to use one but I never bothered to ask what it is called. This is a great review bro and I’ll keep this in mind when I build up my personal gym set. This one will definitely be in my list as I benefitted from it in my training =)

    1. Hi man, I am glad you liked it and learnt the name of it 😉 These are great choices for a boxing gym for your home (silent, solid no vibration etc.) If you have any more things to ask you know my site and e-mail 😉

  12. Very informative article! Having a heavy bag has always been on my wish list, I think you may have inspired me to finally get one!
    thanks for the information

  13. This is really cool. I have a 15 year old son that is really into boxing. He is always at the gym training on his technique and watching instructional videos on YouTube. He talked to me about getting him some extra equipment at home so he can get some extra work in at home and get the edge over his competition.
So this post was exactly what I was looking for and think it would improve his skills a lot. I am most definitely going to look into this. Great review, very helpful.

    1. That is really great man. He will surely progress faster when he will start training at home. However, these YouTube videos can be misleading and he can pick up some bad habits which he can’t get rid of in the future easily and that would be really bad for his development. If you have time, check out these instructional videos and in there you can see what I am talking about better.

  14. Hi Furkan. Thanks for your informative site on boxing stands. You have an excellent review page that helps make the choice easy. I particularly like the Century cornerman. The Dual purpose of this stand fits my needs perfectly. Jim

    1. Hi Jim,
Cornerman is quite good and the design makes the stand suitable for a lot of places. The only downside is the price however if you have the cash, I would say that you can spend it on this quality stand.

  15. Very informative website. I am however past the age of punching bags but for the young guys, your site will be a great place to stop and gather great information.

    Joe

    1. Thanks, man. Well, you can always start doing boxing, in my opinion, there is hardly an age restriction to start boxing training. Yeah, I gather the latest information in the product reviews and I actually use many of them and include as much as details as possible in the articles.

  16. Thanks for this post. I had to call my children over to ask what’s the best stand that they prefer. You see, as for me, I love using my husband as bag, but would like something firmer to hit.

Another reason that I like this is because my husband straps the bag to the basement ceiling and I’m so afraid that he will pull the ceiling down.

    Thanks for this info.

    1. I laughed so much after reading this : ) Well you can definitely ask their opinions about these as they might like one more.

I understand your concerns. Actually many ceilings are strong enough to support bags up to 200 lbs. but I definitely understand your concerns. If you are really worried, you should invest in a stand.

  17. Hi Furkan, great article again i can only imagine the benefits of use sand and i assume that using sand will make you have a stronger wrist and punch.
    Dave

  18. I had no idea about bag stands and have been looking for information to buy a bag for my son to practice on. The problem is that his mother doesn’t want anything hanging so reading this article really took a load off of me. I’ll read it again so that I can make a good decision and buy the right one for him. Thank you very much!

    1. This is a common problem. I actually could not convince my mother to have it in the home as well.
A stand is a good option if you have enough space.

  19. There is so much information here. I have been looking around as I had thought about getting my husband a punching bag. I was looking for a packaged deal, after reading this, I am really glad I didn’t make that type of purchase,

I wanted to really research it before making a decision. I am really glad I did. I had no idea that I could check with a martial arts gym to see if they had one to sell.

Thank you for such useful information. I can now make a well informed decision on the best heavy bag stand.

    1. The complete set deals generally really suck. But when people see that they can save up a lot of money they don’t tend to look at the quality of the products.

  20. Just wanted to say that your review was extremely helpful. I have been wanting to get back into shape and as opposed to hanging the bag from a tree the Boxing Double Trouble is probably what I would need. Thanks for your review very helpful.

  21. My gym has the Everlast brand and man, does it hold up. After being in business for two years the thing still looks to be in solid condition. It’s durable, to say the least. This, coupled with the fact that literally half the gym uses the heavy bag on a weekly basis shows how well the Everlast brand has held up and continues to hold up.

    1. That stand is definitely way above average and it has a good price tag. I even saw people hang punching bags which are heavier than recommended weight and still it carries them well. So many gyms just trust it to last a really long period of time.

  22. This is awesome. Clean, concise, and straight to the point. I’ll definitely be referencing this article when I invest in my home gym.

With such a variety of heavy bags on the market, this is exactly what I was looking for. I’m no martial arts expert, so I appreciate the standard descriptions and recommendations throughout the post. I value mobility when fighting, so I won’t be going for the Century Cornerman. I’ll probably go ahead with the Outslayer.

    1. This is the updated version. I did not write the old one well and there were many requests which want bullet points and detailed description so I delivered what my readers want.

Outslayer occupies less space however the fighting area is more or less the same.
