You will get more than You pay

Boon certainly is a humble company, it does not have fancy commercials, they just do their work and provide you the best value boxing gloves. Its leather is cowhide and very durable. After you open the order box of pair, you will have that smell of leather and realize that you invested in a very quality leather. It will hold the padding and give you the same punching experience even after 2 years. And I know that you can’t get any all around training gloves in this price range. You can choose Boon Sport Training Leather Gloves according to the sizing table below.

How is Training Quality?

Boon has incredible leather and so it already starts a giant step ahead of other pairs. After you punch with a glove, this same glove will forget its memory pretty quick and be ready for another high shock. I love this feature and it is the essential one for having incredible punching bag workout. Also cowhide leather won’t get old fast when you do sparring session and you can get the same experience even after years

One of the Safest Gloves

Even if you have quality training performance from a pair, it does not mean that you can do every training safely. However, Boon training gloves has an incredible wrist support and enough padding to protect your knuckles. Its 2 inch quality padding is also enough for sparring session. So even if you have the best chance to punch your sparring partner’s face, you won’t be able to knock out your partner. You can do sparring, after that punch a heavy bag as hard as you can and you won’t be feeling any soreness.

What Exclusive Feature will this pair Provide for You?

I have lived in Thailand for quite sometime and its whether is always hot and incredibly damp. So it does not matter which training you do, your boxing or sport gears will last less there. Even I leave my gloves in gym, as you expect they don’t open air conditioner at nights and well that situation is not good for budget. Anyway, Boon is handmade in Thailand and they produced these gloves for these harsh conditions. It has the best thermal regulation and soft inner lining which you can get. These provide best  comfort possible for your hand and probably it is the best in this area.

Normally handmade gloves like Cleto Reyes have very LONG break in time. For example, it took 6 months to finish my Cleto’s break in time, whereas Boon boxing glove’s break in period is only 3 weeks or maybe even less depending on your boxing training intensity. It is a huge plus. Because you will start getting “normal” and best punching experience very soon for a handmade pair.

Design and Color

Well this department is this glove’s worst area. I am not a guy who cares about design or color at all, but it has basically no selection and has a “very old school” design. Personally, I like this type of design and color is okay for me but they really should have included some other colors as well.

Best Boxing Gloves for Your Money

Quality training gloves generally have very expensive prices and it is for a good reason. They can provide best heavy bag , sparring and pad work training. Also these pairs have ALL safety features like wrist support, padding… for every training type. With that, Boon Sport Leather Training Gloves are much more affordable than other boxing gloves on the market and will give you the best performance for your money. It has also very quality cowhide leather and is made for harsh weather conditions to have more durability. If these amazing features are appealing to you, get Boon Boxing Gloves on amazon and it is the best place to buy. You can get it in a few days. But, lots of places like ebay send this pair from Thailand. Well I have no idea when you will get it if you purchase it from there. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the review and if you have any questions about this pair, leave a comment below.

  1. Hey Furkan, another great post! I have heard that Boon makes great gloves, and may have to look into these. It’s nice to know they have such a short break in time. That is a huge selling point in my opinion.

    Chris

  2. Looks like these are the boxing gloves that I should look into high quality and resist more.

The price is also right with free shipping.

When buying any boxing material the quality is the most important thing, you don’t want gear that will hurt your hands.

Thanks for sharing Furkan and have a great day! 🙂

    1. Price quality ratio of Boon Boxing Gloves is amazing. As you said Anis, it will protect your hands. And good to see you here again.

  3. Resistance is what I’m looking for.
I had many boxing gloves which lasted for couple months or even less.
I think, I will try the Boon boxing gloves.
    Thanks for the review.

  4. Great post, Furkan. I will definitely give these boxing gloves a try especially for punching to release stress on the dummy. Great price and great quality which is rare for one product these days.

    1. Boon boxing gloves are so underrated as you said these really need to have more recognition. Boon pairs are seriously great. You can use these any type of punching bag or dummy.

  5. I never really understood the difference between a higher price boxing glove than a lower price boxing glove. This post really gave me a lot of insight on boxing gloves. I will definitely invest on a pair of Boon Boxing Gloves for myself.

    1. There are some difference and I think Boon sells its gloves with fair price. I wish the other companies will do the same but I don’t think it will happen in near future.
And Edward you will experience Boon’s amazing training performance and it will give more than what you pay 😉

  6. I love watching boxing but I’ve never tried it myself. I would love to get a membership somewhere to try out. The price of these boxing gloves is reasonable so I definitely would try it out once I join a club.
    Thanks for your review!

    1. Boon gloves are great and when you get Boon, you will get more than what you pay. I think Boon Leather is just for you because when you start, you can do every training type including sparring, double end bag, focus mitts and punching bag.

      You are welcome anytime.

  7. So many people buy boxing gloves, never take a lesson, and then hurt their wrists in the process. Or they simply work too long at training wearing subpar equipment.

It is good to see a glove that has incredible wrist support for those long training sessions. It is also a good buy for those that may not know quite what their doing earlier in their journey.

    1. I knew what I was doing but I also hurt my right wrist quite bad just because I punched the mitts with gloves which don’t stabilize my wrists well…

  8. I’m looking for a good pair of boxing gloves and it looks like Boon would be a great brand to look at. I live in a humid environment and would need a pair of boxing gloves that could withstand harsh weather. I will look into these gloves even though you said they aren’t known for advertising themselves too much.

    1. Man, I really think that you have come to the right place. These pairs can withstand the humid conditions in Thailand. And I even know that people train with them outside constantly and they have trained with them for years…
If I were you, Boon Sport Leather would be my number one pick.

  9. This is a very informative piece on boxing gloves. I’ve been intrigued by kickboxing for some time now but I’ve always felt really intimidated about not knowing what type of protective gear to purchase as well as where to get a good and invested coach. These boxing gloves would definitely be a start. The last thing I want would be to punch something with a boxing glove and feel the pain inside my fist. That would be awful. And they last at least 2 years? That’s not bad at all for the price. I’ve seen some pretty expensive boxing gloves and that’s what made me why away from the sport. Thanks for the info!

    1. In Thailand Boon lasts around 2 years but here is too hot and humid so the glove’s materials face rough conditions all the time. So I am sure that it can last 3+ years anywhere else. Boon is one of my favourites when it comes to cost efficiency. Also, you don’t need to worry about hurting your fist since if you look at the picture you can see that it has a really bulky padding which is common for this glove type.

  10. Great post!!
These sure do sound like they are good boxing gloves, knowing that these are made of cow hide does make me feel more confident in the fact that they will be more durable than most. I do believe most of the boxing gloves come from the cheap fake leather material.

    Thanks for your knowledge!
    Anna

    1. The leather is one the most durable ones and cowhide is one of the most preferred leather types because of sturdiness. It is quite hard to get defects.

Yeah, I also hate low-quality cover materials. These are just annoying. Even these feel odd though there are also some quite good quality synthetic leather cover materials which are made by higher end brands.

  11. Hi, may I ask if those gloves have a big hand compartment? I have big hands and long fingers and I have been looking for a glove with a sort of roomy compartment to accommodate my big hands. Thank you!

    1. Yeah, however, there may be different models though if it is the case just look at the description and see whether the gloves have a bigger compartment or not.
