Finding affordable boxing shoes, which can help you have better boxing training, can be a daunting task.
Because there are a lot of low-quality boxing boots out there and I am really glad that you don’t get any other shoe type (running, basketball) for paying less. Because real boxing shoes have advantages like providing more agility… and other shoes can’t replace it, period.
According to price, comfort and training qualities like grip, I gathered four cheap boxing shoes including one boot and mid-cut.
Note: All boxing shoes on this list have sizing information at the product pages. Also, I added some additional information about the sizing like whether they fit true to size, etc.

Based on my experiences Ringside Diablo is definitely one of the most popular boxing shoes on the market. It is common to see people, who wear Ringside and do various workouts in various boxing gyms.
It is lighter than many other boxing shoes and you will move, jump and punch more effectively with it. If you prefer more grip and decent mobility is what you are looking for then this shoe is just for you. It has a rubber sole and it does the job fine. I also did some basic mitt drills and sparring training. It provides stability while punching. And I was more than satisfied with my experiences. I did not slip on the ring and the slippage in the shoe was not an issue. Basically, the grip makes more control over your movements.
The insole was at its place after the sessions. Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised after I look at it.
As another plus, the grip does not interfere with your footwork at all. So you basically do not trip even if your footwork is subpar.
The sides of shoes will not widen after eighteen months of training. It is quite impressive and shows the material quality. Because sides of many affordable boots tend to start widening after 9-10 months. The synthetic leather is sturdy enough for withstanding rigorous sessions.
The nylon mesh has a lot of holes and these let air in throughout your session.
It also has many colors and I am sure you will see something you like.
Price: I already wrote an article for most quality boxing shoe list and I included Ringside Diablo in there too. Because it has very good qualities like easy to pinpoint, mobility, comfy sole and also has an amazing price. In my opinion, it is the best one for the money.

2. TITLE Speed-Flex Encore Mid Boxing Shoes
Training Quality + Ankle Support Rating: 8.5 / 10.0
Durability: 8.3 / 10.0
Comfort: 9.6 / 10.0
Quality / Price Rating: 9.1 / 10.0
Exclusive Features
- Ideal for quickness
- Incredible price
- Very comfy
- Sculpted polyurethane soles
- Many colors selections including red and blue
You can also move really fast with Title Speed-Flex and it is the lightest affordable shoe on the market. Also, you will be comfortable in all the boxing positions. As you can guess there are no bumps.
If you look at the picture of this shoe, it looks really comfy and it actually is. While wearing it, synthetic leather construction doesn’t cause any discomfort whatsoever. The insole is flat, extra thin and it is quite smooth. This is actually the reason why it increases your agility a lot.
While pivoting you don’t have a hard time and you can do it accurately as the grip is way less than Ringside Diablo however you don’t slide in the ring. After all, it offers at least some traction to inhibit that.
It is also made of synthetic leather. It has nylon fills at the top and that area gets abused by a boxer’s foot all the time. Obviously, nylon is not the preferred material and it will even have defects. With that being said, you can still expect to wear for around 2 years. The durability of Title is not bad at all, right?
The shoe has molded polyurethane and even when you are doing boxing training a long time it does a good job to keep your feet comfortable. So basically you will get less pain in your foot after sessions.
There is no air channels nor mesh in Title Speed-Flex yet the shoe is incredibly light and still, it allows sweat escape to some degree so it does not get really hot and sweaty. So the slippage won’t be an issue.
It is true to size. If you are interested, have a look at it on the product page.
Here are my favorite cheap boxing boots…
3. Ringside Undefeated High Top
Training Quality + Ankle Support Rating: 9.2 / 10.0
Durability: 8.7 / 10.0
Comfort: 8.3 / 10.0
Quality / Price Rating: 10.0 / 10.0
Exclusive Features
- Great ankle support
- Good traction
- Sturdy
- Thin outsole
- Very good value for the money
This boot actually is just a longer version of the first model. It is light for a boxing boot and if you want to move quickly with a boxing boot Ringside seems to do that just well.
Ringside Undefeated is high top and provides more ankle support, stability. These parts are made of synthetic leather and have a vinyl finish for extra sturdiness.
The design of this shoe is also good for providing ankle support. The heel part is kinda lifted and has more material density.
Also thanks to rubber it provides decent traction. This shoe is more grippy and less ideal for speed. The mesh covers more space and it does not bother during punching as it is really soft.
The shoe is obviously heavier than mid cuts and low tops and it feels way more supportive so you can punch more powerful.
By the way, I only saw good feedback for the training performance.
Considering the durability it is not different from other Ringside models as these are made of the same materials and after wearing it a couple of weeks the shoe will not feel stiff at all.
Price: The price is almost equal to the low top and mid-cut Ringside shoes. So why is this important? When you look at the price of boxing boots, the price is generally way more than low tops. But the price of Ringside Undefeated is almost equal to low tops. Is not that impressive to you? I think this sounds like a good deal. You can have a look at this affordable boxing boot on here and learn more about it.
4. RXN Boxing Shoes
Training Quality + Ankle Support Rating: 8.3 / 10.0
Durability: 8.4 / 10.0
Comfort: 10.0 / 10.0
Quality / Price Rating: 8.9 / 10.0
Exclusive Features
- Decent grip and support
- Pinpoint the target easily
- Mid-cut boxing shoes
- Incredible comfort!
I just did not want to end the writing without mid-cut boxing shoes. After all, there are many people who prefer this design over the boxing boot style. This mid-cut shoe is made of entirely synthetic materials including the cover and rubber. The upper part has one layer of mesh which allows air and still it offers decent ankle protection. The sides allow mobility.
The non-slip rubber allows you to move properly. You can properly jump, punch and you do not lose any power while transferring energy (during punching). It does not offer a lot of traction, however, thanks to that you can punch your target more accurately as pinpointing the target with it is quite easy. Also, the insole is quite thin and it feels like it does not have any bumps. The sole is flat as it gets. So, you will have more comfort with this boxing shoe than any other shoes on the list.
Even though the ankle part of the shoe is soft it provides decent support while jumping. However, it is not elite as the above high-top boxing shoes. This can be a negative for people who want premium ankle support.
Most of the shoe is covered by one layer mesh which allows a good amount of air in it but the mesh is not durable as leather or other commonly used materials however you can wear the shoe for two years. And this period is actually not bad for a boxing shoe.
This is all overall training mid-cut boxing shoe and if you like the description (training performance, agility,…) definitely have a look at RXN Boxing Shoes.
Note: The size runs smaller so get at least a half size bigger than usual.
Why did I pick these?
Even though these shoes are on the cheaper side these still improve your explosiveness in the ring and provide good ankle protection.
I chose them according to these and even though one can’t expect amazing performance and durability from them these still do the job just fine. After all, you really can’t expect to get premium material quality and grip from affordable boxing boots, right? Also, these shoes’ materials are somewhat similar and this is why the durability periods and prices are quite close to each other as well.
While getting a pair of shoes, which do not cost a small fortune, you need to be careful as boxing is a big industry and seriously there are a lot of shoes which don’t even offer decent ankle protection and even some of them are high-tops. Actually, it is hard to screw it yet many martial arts companies manage to achieve that. So this is why I decide to have this shoe article.
These shoes are also worn by a lot of boxers in various boxing training gyms which I have been in over the years. So I can vouch for every one of them.
Final Thoughts
Even though all these shoes are great and unlike other overpriced low-quality boxing shoes, these give you more than your money’s worth. With that Ringside Diablo is a giant step ahead of others and you will see it in many best lists. The grip is decent and it is the choice for people who are prone to ankle injuries. Considering that Ringside Diablo provides good ankle support and is easy to pivot, you get a pretty sweet deal. If you are on the budget and are interested in this shoe, check it out on the product page.
I don’t know how much you read the comments but after getting a lot of positive ones about Ringside Diablo, I am confident that you will be pleased with the performance of this shoe in the ring!

I am always a firm believer of you get what you pay for in life you can get the cheapest pair of trainers and boxing shoes but they won’t last 5 minutes, quality pays in the long run thanks for the great article.
You are exactly right man I had some boxing shoes which just suck and many people asked me about affordable and quality boxing shoes so I wrote this 🙂 I am glad it is useful for you.
That is a good job to be able to combine quality with cheap. Another good thing is that you have used the product and you are speaking from experience. Any sports lover will like any shoe that will provide good ankle support and is easy to pivot.
Man, I remember when I trained with Ringside, it was some months ago in Thailand and it was seriously great for pivoting. If you prefer pivoting and giving direction like me you will love Ringside Diablo.
I’ve used Ascics and Lonsdale boxing boots and both have been great for me. I have been looking at trying another boot since the width design of both shoes wear easily. I’m also not in the best position to be splashing hundreds for a new pair so I’m looking forward to trying the Ringside boot. Nice review.
I don’t have any experience with Asics. But a few years ago while I was having a hard time to get boxing equipment, Lonsdale literally saved me. That model was quite light and I was able to pinpoint the target quite accurately with it.
Man, none of us are in that position : ) This is the reason that I gathered these shoes from my and fellow boxers’ experiences.
Really great, informative post. I’ve considered taking up boxing and will definitely reference this article again when I need a pair of shoes. Thanks for sharing!
When you start boxing, these affordable shoes can be great beginner shoes as you can decide whether the shoe fits your style or not without spending a lot of money.
