Venum has incredibly popular boxing gloves on the market. You can literally see Venum in every boxing gym out there. I also have many experiences with this pair.
However how Venum achieved such popularity with a good price?
In this content, I will walk you through all about Venum Elite, tell you my experiences and also you can find the sizing information below as well.
Venum Elite Boxing Gloves Review
Training Quality Rating: 9.2 / 10.0
Durability: 9.0 / 10.0
Quality / Price Rating: 9.7 / 10.0
Best Place to Buy: Amazon
- Good padding quality
- Lasts more than 2 -3 years
- Suitable for all training types (bag work, mitts…)
- Very good ventilation (made in Thailand)
- Incredibly popular and gets good ratings
- Many color selections including orange and white
This pair is made of Skyntex leather and you can train with it more than 2-3 years and break-in period is almost none existent. Imagine that you start getting natural striking experience as soon as you put on these gloves. I think that this is a huge plus.
The wrist compartment is not bulky and the velcro closure is a bit larger and secures your wrists well. With that, I always prefer larger velcro since it tends to stabilize my wrists just better.
Venum changes padding quality one pair to another. With that, Venum Elite has the best foam among them. You can punch the heavy bag or train with mitts and get a good session from them. Also, you can do these training types in a row.
Also, you don’t have to take it off and put on new gloves since Venum Elite is suitable for all training types and you can choose it according to the sizing chart below.

My Experiences: I used this pair around 2-3 months in Thailand. At that time, I mostly did double end bag sessions with it. My hands sweat a lot however my hands were alright with this pair and this only happened with 2 other pairs in my life. I did many techniques (uppercuts, hooks…) with double end bag and I felt natural with the pair. I also have seen that many people do focus mitt training with it. The padding can absorb the shock well and I think this is the reason why people use this pair mostly on bags and pads.
Safety: As I mentioned above the foam does an outstanding job to distribute the shock. It has layers of quality foam which is the reason why Venum Elite can distribute the shock really well. With that, it also has attached thumb and when you do sparring, you won’t hurt your sparring partner’s eye. I want to mention that this compartment feels natural but it is a bit tight. You can adjust the velcro for your wrist and I did not have any problem while I was training with it. Shortly, it has every safety quality for every training type and you can do all training types with ease of mind.
Durability: Padding outlasts the leather. It means that firstly the leather construction will get rough spots. Considering many people’s feedback you can use this pair more than 2-3 years.
Color and Design: As you may know Venum produces gloves with hardcore design and Venum Elite is no exception. However, you have many color selections including orange, yellow and white. It even has different designs of black and white colors. Well, you can’t expect anything less than a pair which is among the most popular pairs on the market. There is literally a style for everyone.
Quality Price Ratio: It is suitable for all training types and the durability is way above average. Alright, I am a really cheap bastard and I rarely say the following. You seriously get more than what you pay.
What Should You not Expect From Venum Elite? You can’t expect to train with Venum over 5 years like Winning.
Commercial Gyms: I have been in many commercial boxing gyms and many trainers suggest their students to this pair.
To sum up: everything about this pair is above average (Thermal regulation, comfort, padding, and durability…). When you consider all of these and the price, you get a pretty sweet deal and this is why you will continue seeing this pair in boxing gyms a lot! Sounds like a really good pair of gloves to buy. I like how they can last you for a good number of years and that there is no break in period.
I am though concerned at my hands sweating a lot. Did it put you off from training? Or was it not too noticeable?
Man Venum has moisture wicking qualities which I have seen. Also, I saw that many people in Thailand always prefer it for the comfort. So you can be sure that you are getting good comfort.
Hey man, great review. Have been thinking about getting back at boxing for a long time, and reading this gets me pretty motivated to be honest. They look like a perfect pair, certainly going to look into them!
Venum Elite is a great pair and gives good training performance. I am sure it will be great for you to start boxing again.
Great review!! I’ve been looking to change my pair for a while, and your comments about the Venum Elite’s foam, since I sometimes have wrist pain. Thank you
The wrist closure is tight and stabilizes the wrists quite well.
