Title Boxing Gloves Review – The Complete Guide

Title is one of the most respected boxing equipment companies out there and they produce various boxing equipment including speed bag platforms, punching bags, boxing gloves… And I must say that most of their products have amazing quality.

In this Title Boxing Gloves review, you can find a pair for every need, these gloves’ features, sizing chart for them and my experiences with some of the pairs.

Without further ado let’s start with the most popular pair.

TITLE Gel World Bag Gloves

Title boxing gloves reviewProtection Rating: 9.9 / 10.0

Punching Bag Training Quality Rating: 10.0 / 10.0

Durability: 9.0 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 9.3 / 10.0

Pros

  • Cowhide leather
  • Best pair on the market (for punching bag training)
  • Very quality padding
  • Good wrist support
  • More affordable than its rivals

Normally I start with pairs which are suitable for all training types but I really need to show some respect for this pair so I start with Title Gel World Bag which is suitable for heavy bag training.

It is truly the most quality pair of the company and it is the best pair for punching bag training. Its padding has very serious quality and returns the original state very quickly, also delivers the shock pretty well.

Its design and padding distribution provide you to punch faster. These are expected from a heavy bag pair and punching bag literally swings more with it so you can do more footwork.

It has genuine (cowhide) leather and the price is actually lower than other quality heavy bag pairs.

You can read its review for more details and if you are interested you can get your own pair on Amazon.

Let’s continue with training gloves which can be used for all training types including pads, heavy bag…

TITLE Boxing GEL Suspense Training Gloves

are Title Boxing gloves any good?Protection Rating: 9.0 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 9.0 / 10.0

Durability: 9.0 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 9.7 / 10.0

Pros

  • Full grain leather
  • Ideal for all training types
  • Suitable padding distribution for a training pair
  • Have all safety features
  • Great quality price ratio for a training pair

Title Boxing Gel uses “Gel” technology and has an incredible lining which will make your hand comfortable and cool during long training sessions. You can use this pair for all training types including focus mitts, punching bag and sparring. It has all necessary safety features including secure wrist-wrap.

Its upper side has “more” padding than heavy bag pair above. The reason is that when you block your sparring partner with it, this padding will minimize the impact. So you won’t feel a thing.

You can expect to use this pair around 2-3 years and in my opinion, it has a great quality-price ratio. For example when you look at other training pairs which have the same quality (Fighting Sports etc.) Title Boxing Gel has a slightly cheaper price and same quality.

Also, considering my experiences you can clean the leather of it quite easily so it does not make a funky smell in future.

TITLE Gel Intense Training/Sparring Gloves

Protection Rating: 9.0 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 8.8 / 10.0

Durability: 9.0 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 9.0 / 10.0

Pros

  • Full grain leather
  • Suitable for all training types
  • Ideal for sparring and focus mitts
  • Have all safety features
  • Good padding quality

Title Gel Intense is a training pair and can be used for every training type as well. However, if you think of doing lots of sparring sessions then this one is more suitable for you. Its padding is “softer” and has multiple layers. Thanks to that you will not knock out your sparring partner and at the same time, the cover material has less deformation as well. Other than that it has all safety features and good lining for keeping your hands fresh during the session.

As you know it is suitable for all training types including punching bag. However, its features provide longer durability for sparring and pad work. If your training routine consists of mostly sparring training and less heavy bag session then Title Gel Intense is a very solid choice.

Let’s continue with a pair which can do the job just fine and has an incredible price…

TITLE Boxing Pro Style Leather Training Gloves

title boxing gloves which have a cheap price tagProtection Rating: 9.0 / 10.0

Training Quality Rating: 8.0 / 10.0

Durability: 8.0 / 10

Quality / Price Rating: 10.0 / 10.0

Pros

  • Genuine leather
  • Suitable for all training types
  • Have all safety features,
  • Can do the job around 1-2 years
  • Very affordable and quality pair

Cons

  • “Average” training performance

Can you get a pair, which has an affordable price, with genuine leather? Well, there are only a few quality ones on the market and Title Boxing Pro Style is one of them. It has the same padding type with rest of Title boxing gloves and can last around 1-2 years. The padding will also protect your hands and knuckles just fine.

With that why its price is lower than others? The reasons are cover material’s quality and lining. These get slightly lower ratings however it has all safety features, which are simply essential for your health, and will give you decent training sessions for 1-2 years. It is also suitable for all training types. If you are interested, have a closer look on here or you can check out the video for more info.

Conclusive Thoughts

These are quality pairs of Title. As you can see there are boxing gloves for every budget and every need. Title’s padding quality is one of the best (it disperses shock and returns the original state very fast) and this is one of the most important reasons why Title Gel World Bag is just great for punching heavy bags.

And if you are looking for a pair, which is suitable for ALL training types (sparring, punching bag, double end bag, focus mitts) Title Boxing Gel Suspense has better quality and feedback than Title’s other training gloves. Especially many people prefer it for double end bag sessions. Thanks to its padding quality, design and moisture wicking lining; this pair will provide solid training sessions around 2-3 years. And let’s not forget that it is built to last during LONG boxing training sessions. Considering its price (it is more affordable than its rivals), these features are amazing.

Thoughts about the Company

I recently started writing about what you can expect from pairs of companies and it gets good feedback. So I also started updating my older reviews as well. Anyway as you may read above I talk about padding quality a lot and Title is one of the best companies about it. Only a few other brands can manage to provide it for all their pairs. It is truly incredible and it is one of the most critical features about boxing gloves. Once they figure out how to do it, they produce amazing quality products. In my opinion, it is the number one factor why Title pairs always have above average or amazing quality. And I honestly don’t see any cons of them.

However, they can always add more color selection ; )

  1. I recently purchased a pair of the “pro style training gloves” as I’m very much a amateur but I must say they are great value for money. They have a great “look and feel” and they cover all the basis for someone like myself.

    1. I am glad you liked Pro Style. It is an all around quality pair and I am actually surprised that the price is actually that cheap. So it is quite normal that you feel in this way 😉

  2. Thank you for your article! I recently succeeded in tearing apart my gloves and I was looking for new gloves with higher durability. They also look pretty great. Can’t wait for the paycheck to acquire them!

    1. Hi Andrei, Title provides incredible durability.
The company just cares about leather and cover material. So you can train with them without fear of falling apart 😉

  3. Thanks for this very informative review. I used to train in boxing as part of a fitness regimen. I must admit that the brand is new to me, but in a good way. I was used to old brands that really didn’t quite live up with the wear and tear. As I’m soon going back to another fitness training session, I will greatly consider your advice on this review. Thank you again.

    1. With time I am sure you will see Title a lot more. It is really that popular.
I think I know what brand you talk about 😉 And you are absolutely right these just can’t take constant punishment. You are welcome man.

  4. Man I was thinking about starting boxing this summer. Which gloves would you recommend for a beginner, I’m thinking the second pair. Also, have you boxed before?

    1. Man just follow one of my social media accounts ; ) I have been training for years and you should get a training type pair since you can do every boxing training with it. As a beginner, you don’t need to have separate gloves for every training type. I suggest Title Gel Intense, Gel Suspense or Pro Style. These are suitable for all training types and according to your preferences about features, pros, and cons, you can choose your own.

  5. The Title World Bag Gloves seems like the pair to stand out the most of them all. From experience I know cowhide leather is durable so it is a no brainer obliviously and that is not the only reason either. I am also looking to avoid hurting my wrists so yeah I think I will get this pair. Thanks for the review, it really helps me make a decision.

    1. Cowhide is one of my favorite materials for bag work. It makes your glove sturdier and I just feel good with it. Title’s wrist protection is also real. Since these are mostly used for bag work, these should have it. Man, I hear you. I have the same problem and you can go with Title pairs and feel better after workouts.

  6. Oh well.. I am neither a boxer nor a fan,but we learn everyday. The gloves are actually a hand full. I think with the review they are nice and good quality to be used by boxers. I really do not know if it could be used for other domestic use aside boxing.i know it can take a good place in the gym but I want to know if that is just all.

    1. I understand you. You can use any of these pairs for regular bag sessions and other than boxing you can use it to build muscle, general fitness and lose some fat. Actually many buyers of these gloves are not really getting them for learning boxing. Many just have some fitness goals.

I was looking for the explanation about the influence of weight of these gloves on the performance of the athlete and unfortunately, I didn’t find any here. So, I’d like to ask if there’s an influence between the weight and the performance. Of these two sets that are in comparison, which one is heavier and which one is lighter in weight?

    1. It depends on your hand size for training. But you should always use 16 or 18 oz. gloves for sparring. These should be made for sparring as well. You should have a look at the product description and see the weight since I really don’t know which pairs you are talking about. If you can’t find the information about weight feel free to comment again.
